Workshop on Collective Intelligence
for Semantic and Knowledge Grid (CISKGrid 2007)
International
Conference on Computational Science 2007

Scope
of the Workshop
Recently,
grid computing is an emerging paradigm to interconnect heterogeneous environment.
Especially, semantics and knowledge are playing an important role of building an
efficient grid platform to share information and knowledge with each other. For
doing this, we have been facing many problems such as semantic heterogeneity (e.g.,
inconsistency and conflict) between information sources.
The
aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners in areas
of knowledge and intelligence, semantics, and grid computing to share their
visions, research achievements and solutions to real applications, to resolve
the challenge issues and to establish worldwide cooperative research and
development.
Topics
of interests
l. Theoretic aspects
- Ontology
models and ontology engineering
- Ontology mapping (alignment, matching, and merging)
- Consensus theory (conflict resolution and negotiation)
- Knowledge representation and discovery
- Social network analysis (user clustering and community identification)
2.
Application aspects
- Knowledge management systems
- Data mining applications
- Multi-agent architecture
- Semantic Web service applications
- Other applications (e.g., e-commerce and e-learning)
Instructions
for Authors
Authors are invited to submit their papers, written in English, of up to 8 pages (a paper without figures can be around 4500 words maximally), presenting the results of original research or innovative practical applications relevant to the workshop topics. Papers should be prepared according to the rules of LNCS (for formatting information see Information for LNCS Authors).
Paper submissions should be done electronically, using submission system on page: http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2007/papers/upload.php
Please choose the proper workshop for submitting your papers. Papers should be submitted in pdf or ps file format. All papers will be peer reviewed by 3 workshop PC members. At least one author of an accepted paper must register and present the paper at the workshop.
Proceedings
and Post-workshop Publications
All accepted papers will appear in the workshop proceedings published in a bound volume by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. The proceedings will be available at the workshop. After the workshop, some authors of selected presented papers will be invited for extending their papers for publication in a special issue of Journal of Universal Computer Science.
